About the website
The Council's website highlights its current work in energy and environment issues, and provides an archive of past activity. Public input on Council processes is welcomed by allowing online comments on reports and working papers, and by making all Council information quickly and easily accessible to the public.
Key characteristics of the website:
- Top menu bar and "breadcrumb trail" bar below it help you always find your way up and down the menu structure
- Search engine available from all pages (see top right), and includes link to a Google site-search engine
- Left-hand context-specific menus provide more content in each major top category
- To improve download speeds, the site uses few graphics
- All text is re-sizable from your browser's text size functions
- Site content satisfies the W3C's checklist for accessibility
