The Council adopted a ?provisional? Start of Year Budget (see budget in Acrobat PDF format) for fiscal year 2002 fish and wildlife projects at the Spokane meeting on September 26 and 27. Their decision was based on the September 19, 2001 Council memo that provides an explanation of the components of the budget presented.

The Council staff invited requests to revise the budget assumptions from October 19, 2001 to November 19, 2001 for the following reasons:

• The initial Fiscal Year 2002 budget was developed by starting with the Council approved Fiscal Year 2001 budget. The Council may have used wrong Fiscal Year 2001 budget figure for reference in developing the Fiscal Year 2002 budget.
• The project design, as approved by the Council, required a different budget in Fiscal Year 2002.
• The Council should consider special circumstances of the project such as a within year reallocation request from CBFWA.

The Council will be reviewing all requests for consideration with both CBFWA and BPA. If the Council adopts any revisions to the project budget, those changes will be posted following the Council's action.
