Council receives CBFWA budgets

ISRP releases final report

Central staff prepares budget table:

  • match ISRP ?fundable? and ?fund in part? with CBFWA ?high priority? (both new and ongoing) to get ?consensus priority? list
  • segregate ongoing projects from ?consensus priority? list to form the ?base project? list
  • estimate budgets for all base projects by taking the start of year 2002 budget and adding 3.4% -- producing the ?base project/budget table?

June 10 to June 14

Review for programmatic and key project issues and begin developing rolling decision memo

June 10 to June 21

Distribute ?base project/budget table?; sponsors submit corrections to base budget estimates

June 17 to June 30

Central, state and CBFWA staff meet with project sponsors to discuss issues raised by ISRP report

June 17 to July 12

Bonneville and NMFS provide comment on relation of proposed projects to ESA and other needs in the provinces (need this at least a number of days prior to the final state/tribal discussions that shape proposed workplans)

June 10 to no later than July 19

Relevant state and tribal representatives develop proposed workplans and explanations from available provincial budgets, ?base projects? list and local priorities and ESA needs

June 30 to July 31

Produce issue memo for upcoming Council meeting (August 13-14) that includes state/ tribal proposed projects on a subbasin-by-subbasin basis, draft budget tables, and discussions of any programmatic or key project issues

August 7 (packet day)

Fish and wildlife committee meeting to review issue memo, proposed workplans, draft budgets and programmatic and key project issues

August 13-14

Revise issue memo into decision memo and prepare final draft budgets for Council's final decision at September 10-11 meeting

September 4 (packet day)

Council's final decision on project funding recommendations
