This is a template to assist in developing the wildlife element of
subbasin plans. It will also be useful to ecoprovincial planners as it
shows how subbasin and provincial levels will be integrated. This
document was developed to promote planning consistency in the Columbia
River Basin, to provide a structure for the main wildlife components of
a subbasin plan, and provide information on the analysis tools. While
the ecoprovincial level guidance is primarily directed at subbasin
planners in Oregon and Washington, the principles are also applicable to
Idaho and Montana planners.
This guidance is provided in six sections:
- Context for wildlife in subbasin planning
- Approach to incorporation of wildlife in subbasin planning
- Approach to wildlife assessment
- Connecting subbasin and ecoprovince planning efforts
- Outline for subbasin plan (with terrestrial/wildlife sections
highlighted)
