  1:45 - 2pm Reports from Fish and Wildlife, Power and Public Affairs committee chairs:  Rhonda Whiting chair, fish and wildlife committee; Jim Kempton, chair, power committee; and Larry Cassidy, chair, public affairs committee.  
1. 2 - 2:30pm Presentation on regional dialogue/residential exchange

Bill Drummond, the Manager of the Western Montana Electric G&T Cooperative in Missoula, is a veteran of regional energy issues and has been an active participant in Council and BPA activities for many years. Bill will focus his comments on issues surrounding the ongoing regional dialogue but may touch on other issues as well.

 
2. 2:45 - 3:30pm Panel on Program Amendments - State Fish and Wildlife Directors

On behalf of the agency directors, Larry Peterman, Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks, Bill Tweit, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Tony Nigro, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Sharon Kiefer, Idaho Department of Fish and Game will share with Council members their agency perspectives on the upcoming fish and wildlife program amendment process. The panel focus will be on the issues that they see as being key in process – specific topics, other ongoing related processes, and overall goals and objectives each have for the process.

  8:30 - 9am Presentation and update on the activities and accomplishments of the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance: Margie Gardner, Executive Director.  
5. 9 - 9:30am Presentation on Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Energy Development Activities
Steve Lozar, Tribal Council Member for the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes and Joe Hovenkotter, Tribal Staff Attorney for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes will discuss current Tribal energy development activities.
 
6. 9:30 - 9:45am Presentation on Fishing Contests on Flathead Lake, a Co-Management Strategy to Protect Native Trout
Barry Hansen, Tribal Fisheries Biologist with the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes, will present information related to strategies on Flathead Lake to protect native trout. The Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes have an ongoing joint effort with the State of Montana to control the non-native predacious lake trout population in Flathead Lake.
 
7. 10 - 10:30am Report on Science Policy Exchange Conference
During the planning of the Science-Policy Exchange, we committed to producing a summary paper of the event. The summary paper is intended to highlight the main points made by the presenters; draw attention to the policy implications and discussion topics; and make relationships to the program, especially with regard to program amendments. Dr. Richard Williams (Rick) moderated the Exchange and is producing the summary from the abstracts, presentations, discussion, and notes. The summary was not available in time for inclusion into the Council packet, but will be available at the meeting. Rick will present a synopsis of the event and an overview of his summary.
