Each year, the Council, which is funded through the Bonneville Power Administration, develops and adopts a budget for the next two fiscal years. Over the last twenty years, the Council’s budget has grown at or less than the rate of inflation. And, even with the incremental growth in its budget, the Council has been conservative in its spending and has consistently underspent its adopted budget.
The Council proposed a budget of $12,896,121 for fiscal year 2026 revised and a budget of $13,338,436 for fiscal year 2027 and released the draft budget for a 47-day public comment period in May 2025. The Council did not receive any comments on the draft budget and at its July meeting, the Council adopted the draft budget for fiscal year 2026 and fiscal year 2027 as final.
