IBM has partnered with a group of Swiss organizations to demonstrate the ability of smart grid to integrate renewables. The press release details the collaboration that uses refridgerated warehouses as a critical part of the program. Perhaps the most interesting part of the relase is the associated infographic that gives a high level description of the need for wind integration and how smart grid supports the need. This project was also covered by the IEEE Spectrum magazine.
