Updating the Research Plan

Process

The Council will, with federal and state fish and wildlife agencies and tribes review and update its research plan every three years, with assistance from the Independent Scientific Review Panel and the Independent Scientific Advisory Board. Each step of this update will include opportunities for public input. Consult the research section of the program for more details.

Steps for Revising the Research Plan

2014-2015 Update Process

  • ISAB and ISRP will be asked to produced a report that contains a revised set of critical uncertainties and themes, progress towards resolving 2006 Research Plan uncertainties, and provide input on sequencing research to resolve uncertainties. 
  • The update process will be informed by the 2006 Research Plan, annual project progress reports to Bonneville, other publications, and public comments.
