9:15 AM Council Modeling and Resources Optimization Using OptGen – John Ollis
- John Ollis, Manager of Planning and Analysis, will present and discuss the Council’s capital expansion modeling in OptGen. The model results are used to help support resource strategy development by noting which resources are added to the regional power system to maintain adequacy, policies and economics. The EE and DR supply curves along with available generating resources are used by the model as options to minimize future regional power system costs under different demand, hydro runoff, renewable availability and gas price futures.
