The Future of Offshore Wind Development
With an ever-growing need to decarbonize the grid while providing reliable and affordable generation, offshore wind is receiving significant industry attention.
Dor joined the Power Division in January 2022. Prior to the Council, he finished his PhD in Systems Engineering from George Washington University, where he also received a master’s in Engineering Management and double bachelor’s degrees in Systems Engineering and Philosophy. His research interests revolve around the nexus of food, energy, and water systems and how these relate to climate change. On the regional level, his prior research focused on the sustainability, adequacy, and financial uncertainty of various aspects of the power grid. On the local level, his research explored the influence of community energy projects, and how to overcome the challenges and barriers facing wide-scale community-centered energy independence.
