Heather Hendrixson
Fish and Wildlife Habitat Specialist

Heather Hendrixson joined the Council staff in January 2025 as a Fish Habitat Specialist. She comes to the Council with over 25 years of experiences in fisheries and freshwater research and habitat restoration.
Prior to joining the Council, Heather worked was the District Manager for the Hood River Soil and Water Conservation District for six years where she worked with the local agricultural community on stewardship, conservation, and restoration in the Hood River Basin. Before that she spent fifteen years in the Klamath Basin working with The Nature Conservancy and USGS on habitat restoration and monitoring for Lost River and shortnose suckers. Heather received her M.S. in Water Resources Science from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and her B.S. in Fisheries from Cal Poly Humboldt.
